alan489 0
Hi folks, what in your opinion is the best quality main spring? Its for my tracker, i feel the spring is rather tired on her. Reading through posts there are quite alot of people against the ox springs, the titans seem OK but what's best? Have looked in to gas rams but would rather stick to spring... Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Hi, Alan. If you can get a gas-ram for your gun, I'd say go for it. You never need to worry about keeping your gun cocked for too long, they don't vibrate when you fire and they tend to be very consistant (power wise) with lots of pellet types and weights. They're not cheap but when you've done it, that's it! I've owned loads of spring guns over the years ( still use a Webley Xocet regularly) but the HW90 I've had for the past ten years or so is so reliable and consistant, I'm a big fan of gas rams. Good luck! Edited December 24, 2008 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post

Hello mate, Get in touch with Maccari in the USA they do after market springs that fit nigh on all makes, very good value and make, there all I use, other than V-mach, which come in complete kit form, and a bit on the dear side, so if its only a spring you need give them a look, also fella if your going to change the spring then get a piston seal from them as well, again there no money, I never change a spring without changing the seal, and after giving the rifle a nice new lubing, anyway hope this helps, if you need any help drop me a pm, all the best bud, Rob.. alan489 0
Hi guys, thanks for the info, i shall look into maccari i think. Have heard good things about them in the past. I just want to get the old tracker upped a bit to get some hunting done again, and at the moment i dont feel she's up to it and getting rather harsh feeling. I would have liked to have kept my hw95k or the lightning i had but wifes redundancy and first own home calls for cheaper alternatives at the moment. Still atleast i've still got the tracker to tinker with Quote Link to post
