Was at the local quarry at 6 this morning, 2 foxes walking towards me, about 100yds away. Perfect time to try my new fox call I'd bought at the Foxhall show on Sunday! Let out a short blast and both foxes spun round and shot away immediatly!!!! I've had more success just whistling at them, at least they stop and look!!! Ah well, another 6 quid down the pan.

Cheers.

you cant beat the palm of you hand for bringing foxes into range :good: give it another go when the cubs are on and see what effect it has on them ;) green foxes respond better to calls early in the year GOOD HUNTING ALL WOODGA

How do you do it? i have a whislte, but would love to use my hand, incase i forget my fox whistle. Alot of foxes over here just laugh at you and dont come into bow range. I have had a few run at me, But some are really cautious and some dont even know what the sound of my whistle is!

It mimocks a rabbit , and out on the farm there are few rabbits what other noises will work for calling foxes?

BOW RANGE -You lucky sod .Get yourself up a tree before you call.Never try to call a fox that is looking at you .They never respond and it only serves to educate him that the call is part of you .
