Bosun11 537
not a mad rabbit man but i tried to enter but no places and at times of the year im out nitgly, so no time to spare to travel for rabbs, not my thing as ive done comps several times years ago, but got dogs who are capable , just a pity i never got the chance as i like a laugh and rabbits are a bit of fun and good crack ,but got a few beasties last nite and big rabbs , rabbits are a bit fun and dont stretch the dog to much , maybe get a chance next year to enter but my old dog will be seven past his best but still good for a dozen or two in the [bANNED TEXT] places ,hope youse get on fine ive judge etc comps not great fun but some people top serouis at times on a 3 lb rabbit etc , childish in my eyes at times all the best to the winner and those that entred Whin, with all due respect, your posts certanily leave me pondering..... For someone who's posts portray a man who's been in this game many years and is still going strong, to then write that rabbits are "a bit of fun and don't stretch the dog too much" it would seem that you have never run for numbers, no need, as rabbits are far far to low key and such an easy catch!! ?? Not all on here are new to this game , some have done a bit for a few years, far and wide and still do run plenty of 'bigger stuff', BUT with the utmost respect, those still out to catch decent hauls of rabbits, know just how tough it can be for the very best of dogs! I recall posts of how long you've been in the game and ran dogs the length and breath of this country, seen dogs of all sorts but then say you have never seen a Minshaw dog run?? Now don't get me wrong, i'm not some 'die hard' Minshaw fan, never owned one, but back in the day ('s) plenty were to be found all over this fecking country and lots of boys who ran numbers (of all suff) were keen to try 'em and this type made it to most parts of this land and even if they didn't make it to a certain point, YOU were running dogs 'all over' back then, so surely ONE must have cropped up? Plenty did for me and like 'em or loath 'em... I seen 'em. Oh boy, I wish I owned a half decent dog, as i'd of liked to enter this "childish competition" for a laugh too, but alas, i'm going to have to wait.... Bugger!! Best of luck to (almost ) all in this comp. Quote Link to post
