Joining the net to poles

Ok......

Would it do if i joined my longnet onto the Hazel poles by tie wrap on the draw cord.

If i whitle it in so it canot moove up and down would this do ?

Not really, just get a bit of slack in the draw cord and them knot it and pull tight, some people like to give it a blast with a blow torch but doesnt make a difference really

Yep make the knot, pull tight, and wrap in a light cover of gaffa tape, should last a while and shouldent slip down the pole, and cheaper then the grommits

If your making a quickset you can put a small v in the hazel wand at the height you want to set your net,clove hitch the head & foot lines,get a old bycicle innertube,cut 10mm bands & figure of 8 wrap the tube around the hitches to give them a bit more grip.

its no good tie wrapping your bottom line, as this needs a bit more freedom to slide up and down your poles

Dont use plastic cable ties they will snag your nets.
