No, it is not right at all - what you need to do is to take no notice of the sales pitch in respect of pellets and do your own bits of research using the testing packs of various pellet makes that you can get specifically for seeing what pellet suits what rifle better way, or indeed the best way.

With regards to your post before the one i have just answered, just how close to 12 ft/lb do you think you need to get?? 11 ft/lb to 11.5 ft/lb is more than close enough - given that if you run at 11 ft/lb, with 11.5 ft/lb being a maximum (as i do) then when the police check your rifle with the heaviest pellet in your calibre, you know you will not be going over the limit.

Whereas, if you are running at 12 ft/lb, then when it is tested by the police, and they find it over the limit, it's a case of goodbye rifle & kit, goodbye clean record, and goodbye any future chances of getting either a shotgun certificate or firearms certificate :(

Do you see what i mean? What i'm trying to say is shoot safe/legal, and stay safe/legal, for the sake of your own future interests mate.:thumbs:

All the best,

Grim.

If It's new send It back. I'm not sure If AA changed the system on the new style but the old style S400's you could easily adjust the power yourself.

No worries mate, Glad I could help. You all sorted now then??

I used to live on ruthin road along time ago. The redrow houses? I used to walk that land regular too with the dogs before the houses were up. Plenty of rabbits there. They would hide In the big pipes they had lying around and under boards. Shit running ground though. It was all cement, sand and shit! Back of the lego centre was good too and the grass was good running If the dog was on them quick, Just watch for the CCTV cams :ninja: There's alot of conies round that area, Have you seen the little patch of grass by bupa

The name rings a bell. Think I may of phoned one about a pup a few years ago. The lines hold some good rabbits If your willing to risk It. Some lads from up this way had a couple of hours there early one morning with the ferrets and had about 30 odd. I was hopeing to go out xmas day on them but familly had other ideas  I've still marked one pocket of rabbits that I'll have a look at one night. You'd probably know the spot If I told you so I'll keep quiet :whistling: Do you go with the air rifle?
