fireman 10,976
Most of us love the countryside for the peace and harmony it brings to our lives, not just somewhere where our game we hunt lives and to go into a town or city this time of year trying to shop for people you may not know to well let alone like, getting bustled about, spending hard earnd cash on utter crap is a living nightmare as far as i can see and once a year is far to often.Better stop now ,but glad to see i'm not the only one and a good old BAH HUMBUG to like minded folk. fraggle 4
i hate it, i hate the fact that you feel you have to buy people crappy presents that you know they will never keep of be that thankfull for, i dropped my wife of at the airport so she can go home and have christmas with her family as i know she likes it, but to me though its just a dipressing time, so this year i frankly fooked everyone off told them not to bother and i'm taking the dogs out for a nice long walk on christmas day then heading home for a nice pint of bitter and my joint of gammon. Bah humbug hellyeah, roll on new year lets get 2008 out of the way.

Strong Stuff 2,171
Hate all the sentimental shite, am a Doorman and this is the worst time of the year, even the normally decent people are full of drink and stupid sentimentality. Went shopping this afternoon, shops full of weirdos buying crap they don't like, don't need and that will be taken back on Boxing Day by more ungrateful people. I opted out one year, had a huge row with an ex the week before and cancelled Christmas as far as she was concerned, I went to Church in the morning and refused to go to her dads for dinner, stayed in on my own, had a much better day .............. we split up soon after and I lost my share of 100 grand in the process, but it was worth every penny!!!! To all those who hate the commercialism of Christmas, get yourself to your local Church and see what it should be about, you never know you just might find something. Peace and love. A Edited to add, am looking forward very much to going out with the hunt on Saturday, thank you for the invitation!
Fidgety 8
Christmas is great with the family, it's the gifts that are shit, everyone stresses about buying something, few can really afford it, and even fewer recipients really appreciate it.
