2nd round heat tonight

Recommended Posts

well just back home and feeling rather knackered.

i had been away ferreting today and arrived back home only to have a quick wash and a coffee and away again to judge ldr and chartpolskis secound round heat,

this wind was unbeleivable up on the fells where i took them both parties had not run on this ground before so it was even from the start some excellent catches from delta and from ldrs dog bruce after the first drop off it was 10 .> 9 to ldr. delta caught a few more but couldnt get back on terms with bruce and ldr won by 19 rabbits to chartpolskis 14 on the way back to the car chartpolskis dog caught another 2 rabbits bringing the end total to a respectable 35 between the 2 dogs some great sport and some even better laughs when chartpolski fell flat on his arse in the mud while walking onto a rabbit.3 times in all :whistling::clapper: good sportsmanship tonight as both parties helped lamp awkward rabbits to keep the dog sighted for each other and all though im a bit knackered i wouldnt have missed it for the world :clapper: cheers lads for a great night :notworthy: this picture was taken back at my house due to unforseen cercumstances :icon_redface: the batterys in the camera i took went flat :icon_redface:

Well done to LDR and Bruce :notworthy: , and many thanks to Woodga for judging and letting us use his permission, (and retrieving my cap !). These two dogs have worked together for almost 3 years, so they know each others game, Delta has improved with every outing, but Bruce still has the better of her. Delta missed her first three slips, which is unusul, as she is normaly up and at em from the start. Bruce took two from his first three, so I was playing catch up !! It did get to 10 - 10 at one stage, but then bruce opened up a 13 - 10 lead and kept his lead to be a worthy winner. And yes, I did fall over three times, but then again, I didn't have Woodga piggy backing me over the river, twice :whistling: LOL !!! A great night out on the lamp with two mates and some very good sport; sitters, long slips, short slips, long courses and short courses, on differing types of ground; grass fields and reedy fells. Again; well done LDR and Bruce, and thanks Colin !!

Cheers.
