Animal welfare act 2006

Recommended Posts

I have just been reading Defra's Animal welfare act 2006, one of the subtitles goes like this, What does the duty to care mean?. One of the statements under this title says "The ability to exhibit normal behavioral patterns". Would i be right in thinking that a normal behavioral pattern for a carnivore is to hunt? So according to Defra i am duty bound to allow my dog to hunt so it can "exhibit normal behavioral patterns" arn't i? Have i got myself confused?
