FOXHUNTER 5,021
Yesterday afternoon at about 1.30 pm I spotted a young roe doe in amongst a field of sheep . I had to stop the car and take a pic as we all know they never mix normally , but this roe looked completely happy browsing away. I told the farmer and was told its been in with the sheep since August ! If you look closely on the pic its just down from the telegraph pole ...... Anybody else experienced this strange sight ?? FOXHUNTER 5,021
Hi Martin, There are a lot of farms with sheep and roe , what I meant was though have you seen roe feeding amongst the sheep ?? Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Got to agree foxy mate .Never see the two mixing and in fact sheep are the ruination of a good roe patch .Thankfully its only seasonal around us and we will be back to normal when the hordes from Wales have stripped the fields bare and have to go back . J Darcy 5,871
I find it extreamly uncommon occurance. Over the years i have only seen such a sight a handful of times. Generally when sheep/stock are moved onto a patch of ground the deer change their ways. Of course harsh weather will see then closer together when they are very hungry. Cheers for the pic Foxy lad...
