I'd be happy to try but a little light for me and my barrel likes 5.51 so looks like I am f....d!! Quote Link to post
ferretville 69
Was speaking to me mate who gave me some to try and he says he`s been using them in his daystate x2 to devastating affect . Reckons there the pest pellet he has used . Not sure how readily available they are as he got a load with the daystate when he bought that particular gun . Quite expensive roughly £15 per 100 but not definate on that . Solid as rock as well he took 1 out a rabbits bonce still perfectly intact ready to use again . Going to have to give them a blast Quote Link to post
Adam-RunningDog 1
like the looks of these pellets, nice shape on the and by the looks of them very accurate. i think i might get myself a tin of these. Good reveiw mate kepp the information coming. Good luck hunting lads its shit in my neck of the woods wish someone could help me out Quote Link to post
taff3915 2
i used these through my .177 daystate x2 and found them to be very inaccurate which was a shock as reviews in a hunting mag were great, penetrate to well also which aint brilliant when you want stopping power, H&N FTT and Barracuda have been the most accurate thro the x2 in .177, hw100 .22 , hw90k .22 and s400 .177 so cannot fault them work throu even pellet fussy barrels. andyfr1968 772
Hi. I've not used the Defiants yet but I've had very good results with Loguns (same make and shape, but lead), in my HW90 and Webley Xocet, both .177. The best ammo I've tried before in these guns is Bisley Mags (same pellet as the Barracudas) for the 90 and H & N FTTs for the Xocet. The Loguns are half way (ish) between the two in weight, group as well as both and fly slightly flatter than the Magnums at 30 yards plus. I'm not sure that their price justifies a change from my regular ammo though. I never shoot live targets past 40 yards and in my penatration tests at that range, they are not quite as good as the Mags but they are slightly better than the FTTs. Cheers! ghillies 209
yes the 0.02 can make a huge diference.. tried a few pellets out that were shit in 4.51 good at 4.52 etc.. or 4.50 magnums were good, 4.51's were a total waist of time etc etc... Quote Link to post
Adam-RunningDog 1
im funny about changing my pellets and i really like the looks of these but i dont know weather to splash out on them or get a tin of air arms fields, i am a stubon field tartget trophys i know they are not the most accurate pellet that been fired out of my gun the air arms fields are i can easily get pellet on pellet but the skirts are to soft and the field target trophys are a solid pellet and brilliant penatration i think, but these pellets look the shit and heared some good reveiws on the the air gunning magazines speek highly of them but i dont know what sort of grouping im going to get and are they a heavy pellet and decrease the shooting distances which i usually shoot with can anyone help me thanks Adam Quote Link to post
redeye jedi 39
ive tried a few pellets very similar to these, i do like the logun penetrators for what they do at long range but i find them inaccurate in my hw100, i use the faithful H&N FTT. I read about some pellets like these in air gunner mag last month, forgot the name, but will get back with it asap. the tests showed they were less affected by a cross wind which will be to some use to the less experianced shooters out there that tend to forget about wind when faced with a long shot in the heat of the moment. im sure some rifles will love them and others not.
