arveyboy 0
im just interested to see what the majority of .17 hmr owners use. i know that out to longer ranges, the .17 hmr is quite badly affected by wind so does anybody use the 20 grain ammo instead? jack Quote Link to post

The 20g does not group as well in any conditions as the 17g and not as much choice in 20g either! Quote Link to post
anschutz.17hmr 0
always use 17 grain in my anschutz, seem to group better for me Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
as above really. tryed 20grain rounds in mine and found them crap to be fair. stick with the 17grain ones and get better accuracy and more fps Quote Link to post

markbivvy 6
bought 100 of the 20 grn ones 4 year ago when i got the 17 hmr. just a few weeks ago shot the last of them of. wont get any more as they are prone to bouncing, go straight through gear without killing it, and don't feed clean in my rifle. Deker 3,478
It's not looking good for the 20g is it...I don't know anydoby who likes them and don't see any votes in their favour here either! Quote Link to post
