Just picking your brains lads ..Ive aquired a 1986 sJ 1300 5speed ..Its got a removeable hardtop plus two soft tops one of which is new ..mileage 54K..This has been in a barn since 2000.Two very small patches of bubbles on the bodywork about 3inch square ..The underneath is as new chassis floor sills etc still have original paint no rust whatsoever ..Runs well all 4x4 works ..How would you value it ..when its MOT d ?? ..

Some people would offer you about £50, but if you really want to sell it rather than use it, I would guess with patience it would make £600.

There are a few of these about, still in very good nick (and lots that are rustbuckets) and folks seem willing to pay a reasonable amount for them.

There may be sticking brake problems after standing for so long, but parts are easily obtained if required. A seal kit for a disc brake is about a tenner.

Tyres may be found perished etc, best thing is to have it tested and see what getting it on the road is going to cost.

Tyres are not perished at all must be lucky ..One caliper sticks but only slightly all steering is tight ..going to stick it on stands and go over everything then test it.Noticed the soft tops make decent money on the other site ..Not seen one in the same condition to compare as you say most are rot boxs or have been heavily welded. :thumbs:

if this credit crunch werent happening i would say if it as good as you say around £1250. and yes they do go for that much.they go from anything like 200 upto 2000 for a mint one. i got the 410 santana thats shagged and owes me 1000. have a ganders at http://www.gotmud.co.uk/ these guys are pretty much bang on. will you be using it for off roading

these are lift shackles and they are dirt cheap for these ones, ebay 260330271709, dead easy to put on ye just unbolt the leaf springs at the very front and put these between the 2 bolting point one on the chassis and the other on the leaf and then the same at the rear. it'll lift it 2" all round or ye can get 3" if ye can find em. an afew spot lights its down to you. i will have to send ye summat for postage matey.

lift shakels are the cheep option to look hardcore qwickly i fitted a full set in under a hour and that was with rusty old bolts giving me a pain in the kneck and it looked meen after they wer on fit a snorkel and shakel lift and you will be atracting difrent buyers buy spending abowt £40
