bluecollar 104
Unless you have TON of land to hunt I would stick to the UK breeds, what I have seen from working w/ Jagds is they RANGE FAR!!!! Great for running and tracking game, used here for Bear, Lion, and Hog, but not many for digging... Quote Link to post
heshimus 1
in south europe is the main working terrierdog (there is some fox, jack and teckel also), both for above and underground work. you are right on the range issue but with proper introduction to the game i have been with some hunting and fetching gamebird, digging up fox and hunt and trail wild boar. highly territorial and some bloodlines very agressive but i have seen them working in packs with 3 jagds or a couple of jagds working with some dogos. they have a big heart and his mind is hunting all the time, capable of hunting hours and hours after their prey. noiser little dogs! merry christmas Quote Link to post

I love hunting w/ my friends Jagds and I have had one I liked but they are not for every one and you need to make sure the parents are working in the way you want your dog too.. Quote Link to post
