MiLisCer 1
What as search dogs or as working dogs? Its worlds apart training a search dog (Either passive or proactive) than a gundog. (I used to one as a living, now do the other - so yeah I have) Mike Quote Link to post

andy 0
Mike, whats the difference between passive and proactive search dogs? atb andy Quote Link to post
MiLisCer 1
One is trained to indicate passively - usually by sitting next to the item/person - its the kind of dog you see on the door to night clubs or being used at train stations - the other will "hunt" for a find for all its worth and keep trying to get to it.
