Finished reading mine in 1 sitting.

Darcy could do better and has done by miles with his previous books.

Could of been longer, more detail. Great photo of the bolting Rabbit, best photo in the book.

Subaru chapter was a joy to read.

;)

i kind of agree but then again when you consider it was only a tenner all in, you cant really expect a book thats goin to be as substantial as the others... still good value for money though.... an example of poor value for money was harcombes book on badger digging!! 20 + quid and i had it read in about 2 hours... i know it was a delicate subject but that was even more reason for it to be of more substanance! and to add, how long now has it been a limited addition??? i think i bought mine around 5 years ago and its still limited,, apparently! :)

Got to disagree with you there, even though it i only a small book it is very well written using a good writing style and very informative, I'd say out of all the books I've got in my collection it's probably the best read... :victory:

I think you're missing the point....it's not a "book" so shouldn't be measured on how substantial it is.

And Badger Digging was brought out when the world was against us, a small but significant voice of reason standing up and telling the world how it really is rather than how the media portrayed us. One man who not only had the position to be able to do something but also the balls to do it too. Viewed in it's proper context, a very important book. The author readily admits it's not his best work and it's all too easy to view it 25 years later without knowing the full circumstances about how and why it was written.

in his own words he admits rushing the book out because he was in short supply of money... i know its a very important book and the book brought alot of controversy... fair play to the man, he got his opinion voiced but if he had of known previous the trouble that would follow the book would he not have put more effort into it if he was really serious about such a delicate subject or would he have chose another subject entirely??? i'm not denying that its not a good book but, in my opinion, its just over priced!! and when is this "limited addition" shite goin to end :) ?? it must be limited now for nearly 6 years that i know of...

Well Chaps, thanks for the comments, both good and bad......

basically it is a compilation of different lads on what they want/like in a running dog....

Thats what the "I" is in the title......its all about that person's views....

If anyones not happy they can send it back and i will refund their monies, but the best bet would be to sit on it and get it slapped on the "bay" in a couple of months when they will be sold out!!

Personally i think its quite cheap for a publication in full colour! £9 didnt even buy me half a turkey this year!!!!! :clapper:

Good hunting folks, and all the very best for 2009!...JD
