Dog heaven

I know of a white westie whose owner thinks its in dog heaven because of the way its treated but if I was a dog I prefer the life of the greyhound reported in TCW who lived wild for 9 years living on its wits after escaping from a racing kennel - bet it could tell a few tales.

 

Whats your idea of dog heaven?

there was a greyhound ran free for about 4yrs the sewage workers would leave food out for it it was seen plenty times walking through the sheep asfar as we know it never bothered them never found out what happened to it never came close always stayed about 50yds away

Dog heaven would be just running free & being feral, as no animal wants to be controlled & ok they might like living near people settlements etc but that was only to scrounge food.

 

Thats what i love about dogs, they dont care if you are a millionaire with a mansion, as long as they have lots of free running & time to invistigate with there noses & be out in mother nature they are happy and balanced.

 

Maybe the answer would be to be a tramps dog and wonder the streets with its owner day & night

Perhaps this comes close! He’ll just have to put up with sitting at the fire this until he’s old enough to hunt.

nice coller on the rotty mate , id guess that greyhound was dumped cause it was found with a cancer with the size of 3 fists on it and someone couldnt afford todays vet bills or didnt want to,i had a lurcher years ago when i lived on the road with me horses and wagon that got its self lost while i was taken seriously ill in the middle of nowhere,no mobiles in those days just three days stuck in bed to ill to move if the wagon had of caught fire,3 days later a mate turns up with a copy of the locel paper with my dog on the front cover looking realy sorry for himself behind bars.an rspca artical about how dogs are dumped at xmas,was soon backin his bed, under his wagon, with them put stright to the facts,gota agree with whin, i aint a mucher when it comes to all the christmas lark,think his going to come have a bit of a lamp with these slow suffolk beasts,and a bit of sea fishing,feel a bit more festive landing a big cod cod or stewing up the nights lurcher work the next day,
