whippeter69 88
Have bought an ox spring instead of the gas ram(only because i could not find a theoben spring for a meteor or a gas ram) but i am having difficulty installing it, the spring goes about 3/4 the way into the gun but i have 1/4 sticking out and its a bit hard to push the whole thing down and get the nut in myself, so is there a different way i can do it you could show me, thanks guys Quote Link to post

Malt 379
ROTTEN .COM waiting to happen I'd forgotten all about that site until you just mentioned it! I've seen it happen before, one of my mates nearly lost his fecking thumb. The gun went off while he was loading it. He was putting the pellet into the thing, and BANG the fecking breech snapped shut & cut his thumb to the bone! Quote Link to post

I had a cheap 4x20 scope on it, my son still uses it to good affect. I don't reckon I'm a top gun either, well not when leaning on my white stick. Quote Link to post

jon_h 0
I had a BSA meteor given to me by one of my dads friends who had it when he was young (bearing in mind he's 60 odd now) so this was an OLD gun. I had an ox bow fitted about 6 years ago and its never broken, and with a 3 by 36 scope i could hit wind fallen apples off the tree in our garden all day at 25 yards. Was a great gun that, traded it in for my hw 80k though Quote Link to post

Was a great gun that, traded it in for my hw 80k though you did well there mate i once bought four meteors that were all broke, they were used at a scout camp or some such similar establishment the pistons had been literally pulled in two , though the springs were square in section, they looked more like the air-force square springs... i matched the broken piston pieces, welded them back together, threw the square springs away and rebuilt two of the rifles (two cylinders were kaput, they'd had the trigger pulled whilst the barrel was open and the jaws were bent uppards) i gave the rifles away years ago but were fine and shot ok for the rest of the time that i had them.. john Quote Link to post
