maespant 1
You'll have to put a variation in for one in the first instance, This is normally not an issue, was when I first applied, Once variation back you will have to get rifle screw cut if not already done, then put through proof house and finally buy the moderator I have a T8 fitted to my Tikka T3 Stainless Lite in 222 which works very well, Slightly Barrel heavy though in balance Hope all goes well James Quote Link to post
SUNDAYBAIN 19
Does this mean i have to fill in all parts the same as renewal of firearms certificate ie referees photos and will i have to wait for a visit from the police or do i go to them Quote Link to post
hily 379
go and get a application form from police station it'll give you info you dont have to supply refferees but you do have to send a photo for a variation as they have to attatch it to you new ticket PS the force i deal with is northumbria but i think they all follow the same guide lines the info leaflet is straight forwerd.reasons for mod = health and safety to protect your hearing, and disturbance of naighbours. jamie g 17
you dont need to add a photo mate. just send in your ticket with a variation why you want the mod. i put for keeping noise down in the area and i explained that i didnt want to damage my hearing. your have to pay 26 pound to because you are adding to your ticket. if you look at your ticket your see the photo is scanned and not the picture you sent Edited December 18, 2008 by jamie g Quote Link to post
martin 332
It's just as Jamie says, but,I would just add, that if you are putting in for a variation, then you might as well put in for some more rifles while you are at it.The reason being it costs the same for one variation as it does for any amount. You may not want any more rifles at the moment, but, they will be spare spaces on your licence that you don't need to pay fo,then when you do want one you just use up one of the spaces, and,if you want a different calibre than you have put down, that doesn't matter as you just get thenm to change it for what you want, and,it won't cost you a penny.............martin.
