ianrob 2
I thought that by now things would have changed a little, but as you'll see from most of my posts, I'm a bit of a soft touch, trying to be nice and wanting to see the best in folk. I thought Mr snareman, "Happy birthday by the way Glenn", was being a bit too pessimistic when he talked of the donkey mentality. I thought surely they can see that the man is right. I know he's right so surely BASC, and the Shooting Times team, The gamekeepers society, etc, etc can see that small snares set four fingers high between the beats, belongs in the 1898 version of How to trap and snare. Not a bit of it. You are absolutely correct Snareman, so I'm sorry for doubting you. They have the absolute donkey mentality of which you talk. See the pic from this weeks ST. The one 8,511
Theres a far better article in the sporting shooter a guy called Danny Sumpter got snares of the snareman and then sold his cage traps and ferrets and all he uses now is snares Quote Link to post
IanB 0
That article is a bit wrong in the sense it states use high tensile wire, when really it should be standard wire for the tealer. Quote Link to post
