Gloster Gunner 0
Thou I have been out hunting with a friend of mine for about 6 month on his permissions around Gloucestershire, I have today recieved my first very own permisson, I sent 12 letters to local farmers last week & to date had 3 replies, 2 saying thank you for your letter but we already have people shooting on our land but we will keep your name on our records just in case. Today the 3rd reply arrived as I opened it I thought it would say the same as the first 2 letter but much to my supprise it said permission has been granted for me to shoot vermin, I'm totally made up I need to thank Grim Reaper as I used his letter to send to the farmers. Grim Reaper 1
Gloster, Nice one! I am pleased to see that it is working for you so far, and happy for you in your new-found permission! As has been said, just make sure you do all that is asked of you by the landowner, and always show good and (more importantly) SAFE behaviour when you are there on-site mate, and you will not go wrong. Now you have had one 'yes' reply, that should make it a bit easier for you when approaching landowners in the future - bearing in mind of course that it would look even better for you if the future approaches are made after you have shown your mettle on your current site for a while. Not only would this give you some very valuable experience in the field, but it would also show others (landowners) that you have given yourself enough time to get used to it. Also, if they were to require a reference from your current landowner, then it would help him to give the other landowners a better all-round picture of you - this could pay well for youl, if you see what i mean? All the best of luck to you bud, and let us all know how things go for you there? Regards, Grim. PS: The thanks is greatly received! I get a little happier each time someone says that my forms have worked for them - that is exactly what i intended to happen for you all when i originally posted them here. Quote Link to post
