On completion of a portfolio of evidence and satisfactory observation from sector based assessors these skills can be transferred into certification from a National Awarding body. Observation of practical experience is added to by the provision of classroom based workshops on Health and Safety, risk assessment management, deer management techniques etc. the NVQ can be taken in either Lowland Gamebirds or Deer. If you are over 19 years of age have less than five GCSE and work as a keeper/stalker for 16 hours a week or more (paid or unpaid) you should qualify for funding.
