Idiot Yes there is a lot of wanna be hard nuts walking around here with bull/crosses and i doubt any of them have seen any real work.Sayin that ive seen some bull/crosses that were worked hard on different quarry and they did look very good.Im afraid around here the bull/cross and the staffy are top dogs with the hoodie brigade Its a VERY sad state of affairs, who the f**k would breed a litter and sell a pup to anything but a guaranteed working home! f*****g b***%*d dog breeding peddling scum couldnt agree with you more mate! i think that some one is talking utter shit! *adey* Quote Link to post
brock1 2
in my experience the bull xs i have seen are very good in a straight line but as soon as the quarry turns the dogs f****d the only thing i have seen a bull x do better than any other dog i have seen are fox which obviously is why they were bread. there probably are decent bull xs out there that can do an alround job but in my opinion there are better crosses Foxes are some of the hardest turning quarry you can get, you totally contradict yourself there! maybe hes never coused fox before becouse i would have to agree fox are one of the best turners that a dog will ever run just not the fastest. i have had bullx for the last ten year & to say they cant turn is pure bulls**t have you ever even seen a bullx run becouse some of the small racey ones can turn on a sixpence. Guest allroundhunter
why would anyone need a dog to make em look hard? i have a beddy whippet that is 12" tts and it doesnt make me look tough, but then again if i wanted to look tough with a dog i would get somethin with some muscle like a rotty or a german sheperd not a running dog, cheers karl Well said karl I bought a 3/8 5/8s bull cross because I wanted a dog not a fashion statement the lad who had it told me it worked very good on or off lamp he took me out with him and showed me right enough he was on it so got him. At the time there wasnt any dogs local tome for sale so had no other choice but to buy him and am glad I did hes a good lad dose what hes told and is very plesent around friends and family and broken to ferrets what more could I ask for. If I wanted to look hard myself I would buy a yorkie terrier lol Quote Link to post
border lad 1,047
i would love to see what these collie cross's would do with a badger in countrys where you can still hunt them and then turn around and say the collie can do what the bullx can do the collie x was for filling the pot and having a bit of sport with Hare, and deer, (((( although I never ran them on deer, in my day,)) your bull x is for the kill. fox, badger, and the odd other thing, what may come in between,, Quote Link to post
