The one 8,486
I was ferreting the other day and when i went to pee this rabbit i felt a lump and im thinking tumour on the kidney .But when i openened it up to gut it this fell out When i picked it up it felt rough and sharp so i opened it up and it was a young rabbit you can see the head and front legs there was no backend .I reckon the doe was unable to give birth to it this year Quote Link to post

Guest ferret feller
mine the baby (i cut it in half with absolute fasination) was like a small pink turd darky red pink coloured and had tiny flaps for ears.... must be the does absorbing them back into the body? Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
My cuz shot a white rabbit when out rabbiting with me a few weeks back, when the time came to gut it, i found the same hard lump, I thaught the EXACT same thing as you.....TUMOUR!!! So........... as you do, I cut it open, to find the exact same thing, all dried up and was obviously dead while inside! Then we found more, but not like the normal fetuses, they were very dry and hard, and I dont think the doe would have passed them. I will PM him now (bagforthebadgers) and see if he will add any more info, I think he might have pics. Quote Link to post

Thats what i was thinking this thing was solid i was hitting it off a spade and there was a clonking sound like i was doing it with a stone pretty amazing really , all i can recall about eptopic pregnancys is there usually in a fallopian tube or attach to some other organ rather than inbed in the womb Quote Link to post
bagforthebadgers 0
Yeah as DnN said I shot this rabbit, And whilst in the process of gutting the others came to this one and felt the 'lumps'. Being my usual self, feeling the lumps you have to look inside them, and just as you found. The dead dry foetuses, I didn't get any pictures of the dead foetus as I didnt really want a dead foetus on my camera! But a wierd find. BFTB Quote Link to post
