:hunter: update,

went last night and yup i must av knocked the scope there wer about 20/30 sat ontop of a window all a kip!!

by the time i had figured out how the scope was out most of them had got wise an bu**erd off!

i managed to bag four in about 15 mins then we called it a night. as there wer no more to be seen.

but the only reason they got wise was because they heard the pellets tinging of the metal sheeting under the roof!

the caretaker understood the problem and has asked me to go bak next week

lets just say i wont make the same mistake twice :good:

good hunting all

Put some superglue on where they roost just before dusk - I find that helps a bit :good:

when i had air rifle's (rapid 7 ,s300)a farmer where we shoot had the same problem with feral pigeons ,we shot a few around the farm but didnt make a dent on them ,then as it was getting dark we seen one drop in an old school house ,the farmer contacted the owner and he gave us permision to go in ,so off we went when we got there the amount of pigeon shite was unbelivable they must have been roosting there for year's we used the lamp and shot must have been 40 to50 easily ,another visit the following week and the farmer's problem was sorted and he was chuffed to bit's so much so he recomended us to another farmer ,so if you can find the roost and use a multi shot air rifle and lamp you will do some serious damage ,and you may get some more permision out of it GOOD LUCK HOPE YOU DO OK

the last time i did a bit of pigeon shooting in the barn i got 34 on the lamp and 60+ the time before that ,the 60+ i must of killed them all in about 15 mins ,mind you the scope was checked the same day and used two 12 shot mags for the rapid ,it looked like it was raining pigeons :D go on a dark night and best if one person lamps and the other shoots ,no need to go for head shots just as long as the bird falls to the ground you can finish it off with a quick spin of the neck ,if it needs it that is :) and make sure you wash your hands real good ,after bagging them up and burn the things if you can ,if not tie the bags up before you dump them down the tip ..
