could anyone recommend a fairly average to good sight for a cometa 300, used for rabbits and crows.

not being a massive air gunner and not having the best rifle i dont want to pay too much

if you have any recomendations they would be appreciated than i can get it myself or if anyone is selling up let me know

cheers

do you have a branch of Mole Valley Farmers (agricultural chain shop) in your area?

or are these just specific to the west country

if they are too far away from you then they may offer mail order, i think they have a website

if you can get to one of their branches then look at the richter optics 3 - 9 x 50 AOE scopes that they sell which should come in at a shade under 42 quid

these scopes are an excellent budget scope and come complete with a set of 2 piece mounts which look very similar to hawke mounts and are very good quality although you may want to get a one piece mount if fitting to a springer

they also come with a pair of flip up lens covers and an illuminated reticule which has multiple brightness settings and comes with a battery installed and a spare battery, all in all a heck of a lot of scope for your money

optical quality is good with just a slight tail off in edge definition in comparison to a hawke scope that i also own (you will hardly notice this and being a keen photographer it may just be me being fussy) the hawke scope cost more than double the richter scope and has no illuminated reticule or free mounts

trust me on this it really is a bargain

all the best

On Fleebay you'll find a set of 4x12x50 AO IR mildot Walther scopes complete with mounts put up by Guns & Golf RFD.

It's the auction rather than a "buyit" item you're after, but there's a good chance you'll pick 'em up for the reserve price of £50 & plus P&P.

If there are other bidders, drop out of the auction as they'll no doubt put another up when that one's sold.

They're a UK seller.

Brand new & boxed

I've had 2 scopes off them including the above, no problems & fast delivery.

Good kit, sensible price & you'll find the same scopes on the JSR & Uttings websites for £70
