would the police get funny bout me keepin the rabbits and they cant say im hare coursing if i ant got no hares can they i no he was a right dik ed this police officer chek my car right over the lot lucky i was all legal

Lamping rabbits isn't illegal but poaching is, it's better to get some permisson no matter how small then there's no way they can prove you took them from anywhere else. The onus would be on the police to prove you were poaching but the fact you had your dogs and lamp could show intent, I suppose it depends on how much they want to pursue it and if your cover story is believable enough.

It wouldn't hurt to be a bit more careful and keep away from places that will bring you into contact with people, poaching isnt everyone's cup of tea but if you do it then theres no point coming in here complaining that you have been stopped by the police.

the police didnt say anything about me bein on peoples land tho all they sed was that i was hare coursing and i sed i was rabbiting and he tried to say that was illegal aswell there was no mention of me tresspassing but i will be a bit more carefull

hare coursing is done in the daytime...............should have pointed that out to the police....he obviously was not aware..

i would just say to him by law i can run rabbits any time of the day as there vermin and that if he wanted to take this any further feel free but he would only b wasteing time as you have spoke 2 the local desk man and they folwed it up and they will leave you alone if you tell them what they want to here they leave you alone
