STAN22 3 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 My mate went for a mooch out earlier today and his red dog jake dropped in a single holer, "MINNIE" got a mark of 1 foot and broke through within a minute. The collar needs tape for 2 reasons. 1 to keep it as dry as possible, 2 to stop it coming un done. For the sake of 30 seconds taping your dog could be lost forever. I once had to rescue a lads dog in exactly the same circumstances, not bothered to tape up, bitch in and not a sign. Luckily that was a shallow earth but it still took us all the next day to find her. And boy was that lad pleased when i pulled her out saying "She's here". I mean i hope it never happens to you, but why take the risk with a dog thats coming good.......JMHO......JD Quote Link to post
