locator collars

very rarely i use my terrier in the way that i would need to put a locator on him, I have several ferret collars. and was thinking if i place a ferret collar around the top part of his front leg would that work. i know he would rip it of, but under the excitment of the fox i dont think he,d bother. what you all think

edited to add i re read your post do you have any terrier collors? a mate of mine stiched a ferert collor onto a normal coller...

If you can't buy a terrier collar why don't you just tape the ferret collar to your terriers normal collar tight arse.

I never use a collar on my dog because of the type of hair he has he ends up bald

a collar on a leg would probably work loose,if the dog wears a collar round his neck it would be better to secure it on this,

in finland they tape the locator to the dogs tail as ther is no way of it gettig smashed or tangled by roots
