scent 509
Alot of you wellknow iv been trying find something to ground for my 20 month lakiexpatt since he walked from a pocket a few months ago .Well yesterday myselt sionnach and fitzy headed off at 8.00am on a mission to see if my terrier would enter. The first place we went to i hunted the cover leading into the earths as charlie is usually hanging around .Sionnach and fitz were surrounding the cover with the lurchers and i was only hunting the cover with jazz (my terrier) when out bolted foxy but but had a huge lead on the lurchers who were unlucky to nail him.So sionnachs lurcher bitch marked a hole so in shot jazz and straight away i could hear him baying and digging on .He was finding it hard as he is a bit big for small earths. Then the moment i f****d up i turned my back for one second to grab a rock to block the whole i was at and out shot the vixen .I was gutted but happy that jazz had entered and worked the fox.We then went to a steep 3 holer in a forestry.Jazz entered again and was baying his head off but was getting the run around in this big earth so when he showed i grabbed him and tried my 14 month old bitch who hadnt seena thing below ground .She entered and was soon baying .We got a steady mark but just when i was about to start digging she showed her face so i grabbed her.We then put cara sionnachs bullxrussell and got a mark in the same spot where my bitch was and had a 5 foot dig to her but when we broke through she couldn get up to the quarry and it was getting dark so we capped it off and backfilled before we ran out of light .I was happy with the pups progress they are a bit green but nothing a few more digs wont fix sionnach thinking he is a terrier lol Quote Link to post
