in a tangle

went out on sunday for the second time out with the longnet started paying out the net till about halfway then nightmare a tangle of all tangles :angry: spent a good 20 minutes trying to un tangle it but had to cut it and do a dodgy repair on it ,moral of the story is sent for some poles off magnum and gonna make me self a quickset :clapper:

i had a similar nightmare with mine when i first got it. Ended up getting in a temper, throwing it in the shed and ignoring it until this season :icon_redface:

 

This year i reduced the bagging from 100% to 70% and attached it to poles in a diy quickset type thing and now have less trouble with it.

How the hell can you tangle a longnet to the extent where you have to cut the net? There are 15 1/2 meshes and a head line and footrope. Beats me!

beats me as well but what ever i did wrong putting it away after the first time made me feel like a right plantpot when the farmers old man came down to see how we were going on :icon_redface:
