pistol pete 0
just wondering if anyone has a dog that catches rabbits and maybe other stuff when your out walking when the moon is up? my dog catches the odd rabbit and even had a hare once(early october) when the moon is full, not had anything in a grazed grass field but she seems to get them in stubble or rough set aside. if you have a dog that catches stuff like this what cross is it? also wondered wether that would make a difference ie better nose or more brain? or are all crosses capable of this? my dog is a half cross collie greyhound. cheers pete Quote Link to post

bird 9,886
Like most hunters on here, try to go out with things in the dogs favour [ not a full moon]. I have been out in the past with a F.M and caught stuff, but feck me you make it hard for you dog, they can see+ hear you coming a feckin mile away With lamping you after take the good+bad, a F.M is ok for them things in the trees Quote Link to post
