3-9x50IR scope + .22r =Any good?

about to get my .22lr and wondering what one of my scope i should put on it, one gamekeeper told me something like a 4x32 is best,i've got one, but i was think bout puttin a 3-9x50IR on it, failing that i've also got a 3-9x40AO, that i could dig out.

 

which would be best in you guys opinions???

i have always used a 3-9 by 40 but its personal preference i know someone who uses a red dot scope on a 22 and he swears by it so like i say its personal preference try the gamekeeps rifle and try one with a 3-9 50. If you do get a scope i would go with a 3-9 by 50

i have a 3-9x50 on my .22 and is perfectly fine for the ranges i shoot over and would reccomend it.
