young beater 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Report Share Posted April 7, 2006 hi there i am a new member and i have just recently move to a 5 acre smallholding in a little village in scotland called leswalt and my dads boss took me out for a days shooting and i really enjoyed myself. i was wondering could anyone tell what age i would have to be before i can own a shotgun. which i could use round my smallholding for rabbits and pigeons. Hi if you want to know for sure ring your local plod and ask for the firearms officer they,re usually pretty helpful about this sort of stuff or contact B.A,S.C for around 18 quid you can join this organisation and have free unlimited liability insurance for no extra cost.I think you have to be 17 to buy one but you can be bought one or made a gift of one much younger.
