Down on 23 & 24 May Irish National country Fair at Ballinlough Castle, Co Westmeath on 18 & 19 July Like Foxgun Tom says, its the same guys who run the Moira event who are running the Ballinlough Castle one so you know it will be a quality show with loads of stands and competitions. This is usually the best run show at a Game Fair. Story Man 0 Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 The Gilford Club are running the Moira event and will be taking a lead role at Ballinlough according to Justin Hill from the club. They choose the site for their events at Moira to ensure the handlers are close to their cars which is a wise move, especially if he weather is hot. Don't think it's quite a rutted field although about three years ago it was pretty wet and there were some ground problems generally. But, hell....... this is Ireland, we are used to the wet! I suspect they will say it is located there to give the handlers easy access to their vehicles which is a fair enough comment. Rolling the ground is not a problem. I am sure the Council have rollers for that job and they are the main sponsors of the event. Sometimes its a case of not being able to please everyone. Compromise is good though.
