Guest remmy
i got to the plantation for seven, it was a nice frosty mornig just starting to get light , i had a twenty min walk to the high seat, climbed up and waited for it to get light, the crows were just starting to wake up and heading off for there breakfast, very still and cold the sun started to come up over the tree tops casting shadows all over the place, to my right is a long ride with deer paths coming from a mature wood going onto a new plantation, and on my left is an open bit of rushes 100yds wide by 150yds long also a good bit for deer to come out onto, i had been sitting there for about an hour when a doe came out across the ride only fifty yds from the seat, a head shot a good big doe weighed 40lb head and legs off . I turned a doe into jerky a couple of years ago and got so into it i ate pretty much nothing else for a week.. i was crapping lumps of coal by the end of it Quote Link to post
