Ferreting and snaring on common land

i would ferret it... but i wodent snare it paddy me mucka....

ferreting it is easy nothing will get hurt (bar rabbit) but snaring can catch dogs, cats, livestock and even people... best to avoide...

I do a fair amount on common land, but dad is a commoner. But my friends which arent still do. I think you would probably get permission though if you ask the owner

 

 

Thats the thing mate, its common land as far as i know there aint an owner

if its classed as common land, it will have rules, the same as parks and gardens, most state no hunting, no metal detecting, no digging etc etc, you'll find out from the local council, not knowing is not an excuse

THE LAND CAN NOT BE OWNED,ONLY GRAZEING RIGHTS OR THE RIGHT TO TAKE HAY,IT IS ILEAGLE TO FENCE OR DITCH ANY COMMON LAND ALTHOUGH MOST FARMERS GET AWAY WITH IT,BY LAW YOU ARE NOT EVEN ALOUD TO BREAK THE SERFICE OF COMMON LAND, BE IT WITH A SPADE OR EVEN A LEKY FENCE POST,DONT BOTHER REPORTING IT. THERES DIFFERNT LAWS FOR LAND OWNERS IN THIS COUNTRY,LOTS OF COMMON LAND HAS ALREADY DISAPEARED INTO LARGE FARMS OR GOLF COURSES,EVEN HOUSING ESTATES,NOTICE THE SIGNS WHEN DRIVEING ROUND, EG; WHITE HORSE COMMON,THE NAME OF ONE BUILT UP COMMON ROUND HERE THAT GONE FOREVER,THERE ARE MENY IF YOU LOOK AT HOUSEING ESTATE NAMES OR FOLLOW THE COMMON LANE SIGNS ETC,,,
