I have been lamping and coursing before but mainly only with local greyhoung men. Have a terrier for bushing but is obviously too slow to catch rabbits so id like to get something faster but not too big. always wanted a whippet but id be open to looking to smaller lurchers. However i would like to go out for a days coursing or nights lamping with someone who has whippets or lurchers. Just to show me the ropes. If anyone from the kerry or limerick area would alow me to tag along some weekend it would be greatly appreciated. I am a car owner and have no problem travelling anywhere within an hours drive of the foynes area. Sound! Quote Link to post

And in a way by us being wairy were letting the anti's get one up on us. But I do realise you have to be carefull as it is an open forum and im sure there are some among us. Im thinking at the moment that I want a handy size lurcher, not too big, I was originally gong to get a whippet but the main quarry around here is fox so Im wondering if theres any small type lurcher thats a decent fox dog, maybe beddy grey or irish terrier grey??
