trying to find permision

I am looking if anyone could help me. i have been looking for my own permission for a couple of months now and just keep getting set back maybe i am just not saying the right thing's.

Here is the deal i am applying for my sgc and use an air rifle for rabbits and rats

i dont mind helping out around the farm or doing a few little jobs or even paying a bit

and of course at christmas there will be a bottle of wisky for the land owner and a bottle of wine for the wife :alcoholic:

If any one can help would be most appreciated

keep trying mate you will get something in the end last year i culdnt find no permission for ferreting\shooting\lamping now im turning it down ive got so much lol

would take you on my permission but the land owner wont let me have a shooting partner

and my parents arent keen on anybody on our farm send out some of the letters above and see what turns up

i knocked 10 or 11 farms 1 day and had permission on 1. the farm i had permission on the landowner has a BIG name in the area and he sorted us with plenty more permission, we knocked other doors and farmers said no but then we showed my mates driving license to show who he actually was and the landowner wrote it down and give us permission took our reg number and names etc etc, then we mentioned out main farmers name and theyre very good friends, we have permission in 1 big circle in this 1 place we have 4 big farms all in a circle, even if you get turned down dont worry what do you have to lose? 9 or 10 farmers turned us down and then the week after we had 3 out of 3 its no harm knockinc, knock knock, hello, oh hello my names ............ do you mind if we do a bit of ferreting on your land, heres my drivers license and reg plate you can write anything about me down if you like just want to work my ferrets on some land ill respect the land the livestock and yourself and i will phone and let you know everytime before i come here, that works for us mate shouldn't see why it wouldnt work for anyone else, soon as your in with 1 it turns to 2 then 3 and so on, go for it

I sent out a dozen letters last week & only got 2 replies - both saying they had people shooting the land.

when you go around the farms ask if they want any help controlling rat numbers to start with

it is surprising how many farmers i have come across who can get any number of hunters to control rabbitt numbers but cannot find people interested in ratting

went knoking today and got nothing thinking about just selling up

dont give up mate i went round phoning farms in my area today. yes i phoned 20+ farms but got guaranteed 2 permissions and possibly another 2. as soon as you getr permission you will find it easier to get more as after i told people i phoned i had permission and mentioned the farmers name they were like oh yes i know them.. you got to get that all important first one mate

Thanks anyway. it is just starting to anoy me keep getting set back's, and i just think that i got like £700 pounds of gear doing nothing
