RAPID7LIAM 7
Just wondering if my ferrets had anything to do with the death of next doors rabbit which sadly passed away last week. They have never been in their garden but would the stress of the rabbit knowing they were only on the other side of the fence kill it. It has been cold recently but she reckons it has been fine during any other winter. I managed to blag the mesh court/run which is only a few months old for my ferrets so i'm not complaining, just wondering if anyone had experienced this in the past, cheers, Liam.... stubby 175
no way mate, our boy has a massive rabbit that is housed only couple yards away from my fert court, he gets a run around the garden every now and then, and goes right upto the wire and sniffs the ferts, wish the buggar would pop his clogs Quote Link to post
fireman 10,898
We had a pet rabbit which caught mixi off of the wild rabbits that use to come into our garden before the dogs turned up,winter is the time when a lot of outside pets die, cold helps see them off if there ill,old or infirm in any way. Flying Ferrets 0
Only if your ferrets have been in contact with sick rabbits and then somehow in contact with the rabbit next door. I'd say thats very unlikely, and so is the rabbit next door dying from stress relatet to your ferrets. If its an outside rabbit it should be used to all kinds of smells and sounds anyway.... The rabbit was probably sick from something else and couldn't stand the cold, or something like that. Quote Link to post
