mono's on the beach

Recommended Posts

Tunny, nets are 100 metres,3-5/8 mesh which have a depth of 14 foot when rigged, got them so big as an insurance,we intend to put them off the beach, and set them from a mates RIB,used nets a lot when I lived in the north-east for salmon and sea-trout,this is my first year fishing for bass, but as the actress said to the bishop"Better too big than too small" ;) I will post some pics when I have caught in them

mackem not trying to piss on your back and tell you its raining but at 14" that net will catch an awful lot of tide and will only fish its full 14" at slack water if your right inside. only know from past experience when i nearly lost 100yards.shot net from 12" dingy one day and went back the next day.to my shock disbelief the dans were gone :realmad: thought someone had sneaked in and lifted it. luckily the water was gin clear so when i buzed over were it was we could see it plain as day. the push of the tide had a net of7" all but flat along the bottom. had to drift over it and snag it with the anchor to get it back. :icon_redface:

now rich your right about the sole net. I only use 1sheet set to a half with 4leadline and 8mm braided on the top. work it about 350m form the highwater mark most of the time but the fish in the photos were from 150m. :guitar:
