farlap 19
what age do jack russell puppies get ther first worm dose at and how often after that, also what age should they be to start them feeding at you need to get a reputable wormer (not off the petshop shelf!) like Drontal or panacur and follow the instructions CAREFULLY (i know litters killed because people didnt dose correctly with wormer) I worm with Drobtal liquid at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks, and weaning starts around 3-4 weeks(unless you are hand rearing then you can get away with 3 weeks). you need to mush up your pupy food of choice to a thick soup (I use royal canin baby pup and tripe and puppy milk blended into a warm soup) and start them on that every 4 or 5 hours. I also suggest you get a copy of "book of the bitch" as it has useful breeding info in there and i have a horrid feeling you are not asking for this advice prior to actually considering breeding

TOPPER 1,809
as farlap said get a good wormer i use panacur paste in the syringe then i start at 3 weeks then every 2 weeks , i start to wean them at around 3-4 weeks onto raw mince or cat food [ i find this minced finer than most puppy food] the best time to start is when they show interest in the mothers food
shadowgames 0
For the panacur, start at 2 weeks and worm the bitch as well. Get the panacur in the big syrgine and take a another 1cc or 2cc syrgine and stick the empty smaller syrgine in it with a light push on the panacur with the suction action of the new clean syrgine and the best way to transfer. I do my dogs 2,4, 7, and 12 weeks bitch follows the same schedule except I worm her before the breeding and 2 weeks before delivery. Far as weening, chicken noodle soup over dry NATURAL kibble throw it in the microwave with juice and noodles for just enough to get it warm then drop it in the pen. I also add bone meal to each feeding, morning - lunch - dinner. I have had nothing but sucess with my litters using this method.

lawrence 657
sound advice from all. a good tip is to get your panacur paste from horse suppliers for a fraction of the price you'll pay for their dog stuff.
