out yesterday for a few hours

I taught it was about time i took beaver76 up on his offer of a days ferreting on his permission as there are not to many rabbits around my area,

headed off bout 10.00 nice frosty morning took 3 ferrets along one of which i had just picked up on friday night (got her from frank as he doesnt have the time to work her anymore).

we reached the field at bout 11.00 and netted up the first warren and entered my hob but no one home so on we went to the second one and i entered my hob he bolted 2 fairly quickly but refused to go back down after the second one bolted. so in with the new jill and she went straight to work 2 more in the nets and one lucky bugger that escaped out a missed hole . very pleased with the new jill we moved on th the next warren and decided to try the hob again he went straight down and bolted one which escaped through the net (get him another day) then we located the ferret who had another in a stop end a nice shallow dig and we got the bunny out. on to the 4th warren and thaught id try my 5 month old albino jill so we netted it up but she refused to enter tried her in a few different holes but no good, so she went back in the box and in with the new jill 2 more in the bag.

then we said we would try one more before we headed off home got 2 more from this warren and 1 more escaped.

total of 9 in the bag and 3 that escaped.

Great stuff essex, im glad your happy with the Jill, she is a cracker and im happy that she has gone to a good working home, good luck with her and ill be in contact soon about a night lamping with me.
