stubby 175
I get mine from e bay, just not the cheap ones, but, and I put this up quite a few times, why dont more people buy one of these at the same time, its a great little gadget for £5, you can then test both collar and box batteries before your trip out, saves collars going dead underground, and gives you peace of mind Quote Link to post

stubby 175
Ive often found batteries that I belived to be good, were knackered, and ones that had been used a few times to still be good, just looked on e bay, its only £1.95 plus 95p postage, so no excuses for anyone not getting one heres the item number 220286136242 Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
Nice one, i'll be getting one soon! The batteries i get, are the hearing aid batteries from tesco, £3.50 for 6 of them, and leave them screwed up in a collar, and usually last from oct till after xmas. Quote Link to post

will.f11 24
right, someone told me that if you go to your local hospital, go to the ear and throat bit. and in the waiting room they have a table with a load of hearing aid batteries on, all packaged and free for people with hearing aids. So just go in and pinch a couple packs. I have never tried but someone off here told me Load of crap you go up to a counter with your book and they mark off when you got a packet of six and the batteries are out of sight in drawers ,But why make your self out a thief for under £4 ?????? I have never done it mate, but someone who i got a collar off said it works, i dont really think its thieving if they are there to take Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Just bought one of those battery testers from ebay, mainly to test collar batteries, just stick my tong on the locator battery, if I can still taste my packup it's flat. Quote Link to post

Forgot about that trick, we used to do that as kids with the 9volters, i'll get the old man to try it, it may put some life back into him! Quote Link to post
