BSA meteor spring after 7 years of use

After 7 long years and about 20,000 pellets throught it, im going to put a theoben gas ram init it and a nice scope to go with.

Goodonya tell us how good the gas ram works. 7 years woha still work ok?

orks like a dream, never had to be fixed or repaid, now going to put a deben bipod on it and a nice scope, will be the ultimate plincking gun

Good spring and good maintenance pays....my BSA Airsporter goes back to 1972 (and is totally original)......eeeerrrrrrrrr....36 years back, to be fair it's done around 12,000 pellets as best as I can work out, it is on the original spring and all the original seals and still developing 11.2ft lb, which most find incredible...my local RFD says he only knows of one better.....HIS!!!!

 

 

Will be interesting to hear your views on the gas ram in due course!!

Should be good out come hopefully plus i am going to fit a bipod onto it

Bipods on any air rifles but PCP become a very debateable area, but my lad has one on his Gamo springer and has no problems!!

Think you will be disappointed mate,Not recomended in a Meteor the triggers not really up to the job

Why whats wrong with the trigger?

Not suitable for a gas ram..Thats why the manufacturer will not make anymore for the Meteor too many failed

They were not designed to run at 12ftlbs best keep it around 10.5 ftlb

What spring do you recommend then ?

A standard Meteor one from a decent supplier.check the piston washer and all should be sweet
