what range do i zero my scope

hi to you all im new on here and have just got myself a cz 452 17hmr with a seben scope and just wandering what range to zero it in please

Depending on what your comfortable with, between 75 and 100 yards.

 

Most I would think zero to 100.

 

 

Mine is zeroed at 100 and is bearable with the drop of the bullet to past 200 yards.

what would you say bullet drop is from 100 to 200 yards on the hmr how many inches? i havent done that many long range shots but ive found aiming a inche above the ear on a rabbit seems to do me for anything beyond 150

This is for Hornady V-Max ammo, but to be honest, they are all very close,

Good help and advice I would suggest all round from SS.

 

Mine is zeroed for 100 yards which suits me, the gun, the ammo and my requirements.

 

But nobody can tell you what distance to zero at, set your zero for your requirements, and yours and the guns ability!!

 

The 17g HMR ammo from all the manufacturers does fly very similarly, 20g is different of course and I find it more erratic than the 17g. But any change of ammo needs the zero checking, even a batch change of the same ammo is worth a quick sighter to check!!
