Its great getting pics in the snow, really shows up the subjects well. Frank. i was out today for a bit of bolting to the gun and i know what you mean about the snow... feckin well hard to walk up hill, like some one tied lead weights round my ankles!!!! these jills i have are bloody dynamite. they catch more than we shoot. spending more time with the shovel in my hand than the shotgun! Seems like everybody found there not bolting so well in the snow this weekend. It's already done it's work on there. Thank god some of them get over it and go on to breed again! I know that brimmer, but this rabbit flu which kills them under ground, is making things miles worse.....I know where you stood, lol... And yes there are plenty about butit coming down the valley... ME I LIKE MY SMALL TO MEDUIM JILLS THAT MOVE AROUND QUIK AND GET THEM SHIFTED, PLUSS THEY GO THROUGH THE PURSE NETS. AND THE FERRET BOX WEIGHS FECK ALL NOW I SOME TIMES HERE PEOPLE SAY THEY TIRE TO EASY BUT MINE WORK ALL DAY , AND SOMTIMES THE DAY AFTER AS WELL. DONT GET ME WRONG WE STILL GET DIGS. TOMO I suppose it's down to the lack of netting up needed to be done mate, only set them in the tricky spots. Sometimes we can get a mark, have the hob down to hit and hold, turn the sod in the time it takes to set 6 nets. You know yourself as well up there, you may only get one rabbit out a 12 holer, it's a lot of messing for 1 rabbit when the dogs can pick them up if they do bolt. (but yes the carry box does weigh a bit, and some of the busting through the rocks can be a pain.) Quote Link to post
