ferreterno1 0 Posted April 6, 2006 Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 I like beddy cross but didnt no if there any good yeah they are but in my oppinion i think a 1/4 bedlington or 3/8 is better than half because i no sum1 with a half and its not as quick and has always got her nose down and sometimes misses rabbits because she dont see them. sandymere 8,263 Posted April 6, 2006 Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 a border collie hybred should have the intelligence to make an all round rabbit dog, a 3/4 should have the speed for daytime rabbits and still be reasonablr easy to train to ferreting. having said that i persoally don't really like the cross so run a beddy/whippet x greyhound, harder to train but the temperament suits me better. mick the fish 9 Posted April 6, 2006 Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 ive got a cracking ferreting dog 3/4 wippet 1/4 bedd she likes to put her nose to the ground having a bit of a mare lamping she wont keep her head up only 11 months old. im working on it, just going out and not giving her any slips so she sees them run hopfully shell pick it up she is very fast cant wait till she matures Quote Link to post
