Terrier 0
Hi ferret feller, I have been working as a pest controller for a few years now thought I would be quite good at it as I grew up in the country being the son of a gamekeeper. If you are keen pest control companies will normally put you on the course themselves after your probation period. Good Luck in the exam. Terrier.
trappa 518
I paid for the same course myself a few years back. Ive always done a little agricultural control, but wanted to go it alone. Ive gone full circle now and from new year will only be doing moles and rabbits again (long story)

ChrisJones 7,975
It's a great course, very informative, but you can get work with a PC firm without qualification and they will pay for your exam, when the time comes. If you're under 21 you'll struggle getting on with one of the larger firms, for insurance reasons. Driving 30,000 miles a year is expensive and many places won't take the insurance liability. Don't let that put you off though. It's a great job and no two days are the same.
adam 0
as people have said before you are best off getting a job with an established firm doing their in house training and if you pass that they will put you on the BPCA level one. What age are you, do you have a driving licence and where abouts in the country are you my firm is always on the look out for techs PM me with rough area and ill see if there is anything in your area.
