lilvixen 26
Sorry but this does bug me. Apart from the obsession with 'dogs having bricks for heads' (except my dog that needs his as he head-butts foxes to death ), Russells were never originally meant to get stuck in every time they met a fox. Borders & Fell originated from the North of England where the terrain in which they were worked meant they had to draw the fox most of the time whereas down south where the Russell originated, Foxes were for bolting to hounds. No good to the hunt terrierman, his Russell munching foxes to bits. A terrier with a 'big head' has just become a fashionable thing to have. Don't worry about your dog's head, as long as there's some grey matter in there, you'll do just fine Quote Link to post
Guest whitser
by the sounds of it the young lad who's asking the question sounds like he's only starting out and has probably been listenend to some fool going on about the head size and thought that it mattered. Quote Link to post
Attack Fell Terrier 864
Try her out and see if she works. That's the only way you will find out if she's gonna be any good. Quote Link to post

ACEPACK 5
Interesting reading, I have a wee 10 inch Foxwarren Jack Russell with small head she was bred for baying/bolting and dose it superbly, although if she dose take a bite it is always round about the eye area which is too close for comfort for my liking, but she has 110% Heart, so i would not let it bother you!!
