i got a little bitch here shes a tasty lil fecker shes a bayer but dont mind a mix dont take much stick either i have a pic of her she hasnt been dug to many times only 2 or 3 times but hopefully now ill get out digging with her more and seeing if shes capable of doing it regular ill get the pic up in a few mins

you wouldnt mate because shes going nowhere shes so far a decent bitch jokes aside its not the size of the dog alot of big dogs can come in handy at times but if its a tight tube then a smaller dog will always be better

im not begging for it but i wouldnt class that as''small headed''im into biger dogs myself but she looks a nice made bitch,hope she gives ye years of fun.

Sorry to jump in but i have seen some of the narrowest muzzled dogs/bitch's make fine working earth dogs.

Yeah at first glance you would think a block headed dog/bitch will take more stick, but not at all!

Brains over brawn isn't always correct either, as long as the dog/bitch is level headed "steady" not "size" and works it quarry hard enough to lay the mains but not too heavy as to get a good hiding it should do ok, HEART is the key, i have owned all shapes and sizes of terriers over the years, some called "not far off pure bull" and some "ratterdales" i would honestly say that the ratterdales have served just as useful as the bully looking types.

I lost a jack russel bitch last year after a [bANNED TEXT] tuning off old red. she had a small head but plenty of guts, one one the best all rounders i have owned. gutted she's gone. My old man also had a small black bitch about ten years ago who had a minute head but that didnt stop her being a good hunt terrier.

head size is nice to look at mate, but for digging foxes it dont matter, as the lads have said its the heart that counts. a mate of mine who keeps blacks has a dog with a huge powerfull head,a fine dog, great worker etc, but his sire is small and has a snipy head, the sire has a different attitude tho, he is rock hard and destroys his foxes. so cant see any reason why yours cant do the job, al the best with it

best terrier i owned was a tiny little russell bitch. 10-11 pounder with a head no bigger then yout fist. she was as game as a cock. she got killed on a road and i still miss her. size means fook all. its all about heart.

your russell looks fine to me. my little bitch was smaller then her.
